The Invisible Deficiency

The Invisible Deficiency

According to the World Health Organization, over 80% of the world’s population is deficient in magnesium. Magnesium is a mineral that is not produced by the body and MUST be complemented by either a magnesium-rich diet or through supplementation. Due to the degradation in soil enrichment procedures and inadequate food preparation, there has been a significant deficiency in magnesium-rich foods. Symptoms such as fatigue, anxiety, irritability, migraines, and even an irregular heartbeat can be the result of a magnesium imbalance within the body.

Reasons for Low Magnesium Levels:

  • Caffeine
  • Stress
  • Sugar
  • Alcohol
  • Antibiotics
  • Soil enrichment procedures (Phosphate vs. Magnesium)
  • Inefficient food preparation
  • City Water/Acid Rain

Symptoms of Magnesium Deficiency:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Insomnia
  • Osteoporosis
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Asthma
  • Diabetes
  • Headaches
  • Muscle Spasms/Muscle Cramps
  • Heart Disorders/Palpitations
